A large alligator caused a major disruption on a Florida road this week. Local law enforcement and a wildlife expert worked together to safely remove the 600-pound reptile.
The alligator measured approximately 14 feet (4.2 meters) long. At least seven sheriff's deputies assisted a professional trapper in the complex operation to secure the animal.
Officials later transported the alligator to a licensed alligator farm. The animal was released there, following standard procedure for handling such large reptiles in populated areas.
