Syria Forecasts Unseasonably Warm Weather with Scattered Rains

Temperatures across Syria will dip slightly on Saturday but remain higher than the seasonal average, according to the national weather service. The General Directorate of Meteorology issued this forecast in its December 6 bulletin. The weather will be partly cloudy and autumn-like overall. However, coastal and inland regions have a chance of rain showers by the afternoon. These showers are expected to continue into the evening and overnight. They may extend to other, unspecified areas of the country. Despite the drop, temperatures will stay between 1 and 4 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year.
