Israeli forces conducted a brief ground incursion into southwestern Syria on Saturday, according to Syrian state media. The operation occurred in the western al-Krum area near Beit Jinn, in the Damascus countryside. A reporter for Syria's official SANA news agency stated that an Israeli force, including three tanks and five other vehicles, entered Syrian territory. The vehicles reportedly crossed at a location known as “Bab al-Sad Junction and Tanks squadron.” The Israeli military has not commented on the incident. Such incursions are rare, though Israel frequently conducts airstrikes in Syria targeting Iranian-linked forces. The report did not mention any clashes or casualties resulting from this ground movement.
