Woman Refuses Flood Rescue Without Her Pets, Wins Public Admiration

A Thai woman has earned widespread praise online after refusing to leave a flooded rooftop without her dog and cat. The woman, identified as Jazz, posted a plea for help on social media on November 22. She was trapped on her roof as floodwaters rose dangerously high. In her post, Jazz shared her location and urgently asked authorities to cut the local power supply. This precaution aimed to prevent electrocution in the waterlogged area. A video accompanying her appeal showed her on the rooftop with her two pets. She later confirmed that she declined rescue because emergency teams could not initially take the animals. Her decision to stay with her pets resonated with many people online. Commenters applauded her loyalty, calling her actions brave and compassionate.
