Syrian security forces have arrested two suspects linked to a grenade attack on a security building in eastern Syria. The Internal Security Directorate in the Mayadin area of Deir Ezzor Governorate carried out the arrests on Friday.
A security source told the state news agency SANA that the suspects had thrown a hand grenade at the directorate building. Officers arrested the individuals after what the source described as "precise field monitoring and ongoing investigations."
Preliminary inquiries and examinations of phone data confirmed the suspects' alleged connection to the ISIS terrorist group. The investigation into the attack is continuing.
