FIFA has announced the framework for the 2026 World Cup group stage. The draw, conducted in Miami, Florida, reveals which teams will play each other if they qualify.
The structure places 12 pre-determined nations into specific groups. The remaining 36 spots will be filled by teams that succeed in their continental qualifying tournaments.
One notable group is Group D. If Türkiye secures a place in the final tournament, they will join the United States, Paraguay, and Australia in this group.
The 2026 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams. It will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
