Sudanese Militia Detains Over 100 Families in Dire Conditions, Medics Report

More than 100 Sudanese families are being held in life-threatening conditions by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a medical group. The Sudan Doctors Network reported the detentions are occurring in the town of Babnousa, located in West Kordofan state. The detained civilians include women, children, and pregnant women. The medical network described their living circumstances as dire and a severe threat to their health and safety. The RSF has not publicly commented on these specific allegations. The militia has been engaged in a violent conflict with the Sudanese national army for over a year.
