A Tunisian film exploring the lives of African migrants has entered competition at Morocco's Khouribga African Film Festival. The festival is a major annual event celebrating cinema from across the continent.
The film, titled "Promised Sky," follows the daily lives of three women from Côte d'Ivoire, also known as Ivory Coast. It documents their experiences as they live in Tunisia's capital, Tunis.
Its selection places it among the festival's top contenders for the coveted "Satyajit Ray Award." The award honors the best feature film in competition.
The Khouribga festival aims to promote African cinematic talent and foster cultural dialogue. The event runs from May 24 to June 1 in the Moroccan city of Khouribga.
