Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has suspended its student union's operations. The university removed messages from campus that mourned victims of a recent deadly fire.
The union stated that HKBU informed it of the suspension on Thursday night. The halt will continue until further notice.
The removed messages honored those lost in the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court blaze. They also called for justice regarding the incident.
The university did not directly link the suspension to the memorial posts. It provided no further details on the reason for its decision.
