China, France Pledge Expanded Nuclear Energy Cooperation

China and France have agreed to expand their partnership on nuclear energy and global challenges. The commitment came as French President Emmanuel Macron concluded a three-day state visit to China on Friday. Both nations vowed to promote the safe development of nuclear power. They also pledged to strengthen collaboration across the entire nuclear energy industry chain, according to China's state broadcaster CCTV. As established nuclear powers, the two countries expressed support for international non-proliferation efforts. They further underscored the key role of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
