Hong Kong Faith Groups Hold Prayers for Deadly Fire Victims

Hong Kong's Muslim community and other religious groups held special prayers on Friday for the victims of this week's devastating Tai Po fire. The gatherings expressed spiritual support and condolences after the blaze killed at least 159 people. Approximately 4,000 Muslims attended a prayer session at Kowloon Mosque in Tsim Sha Tsui. The Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong organized the event. The fire at Wang Fuk Court claimed many lives, including nine Indonesian and one Filipino domestic helper. Other religious communities across the city also held separate prayer meetings to mourn the victims.
