Airstrike Damages MSF Hospital in South Sudan

An airstrike hit a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital in South Sudan on Tuesday, December 3. The attack occurred in the town of Pieri, located in Jonglei state.
MSF staff inspected the damage after a gunship helicopter left the area. They found bullet impacts on buildings within the medical facility.
The organization also reported separate airstrikes near the town of Lankien, approximately 60 kilometers away. MSF runs health centers there as well, but those facilities sustained no direct damage.
MSF, also known as Doctors Without Borders, provides critical medical care in conflict zones. The group did not report any staff casualties from the Pieri incident.
