An Israeli airstrike hit a camp for displaced Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday, killing a woman and a child and wounding several other people, local medics said.
The strike is the latest incident in a series of violations of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement. Since the ceasefire took effect, Israeli operations in Gaza have killed 904 people and wounded 2,713 others, according to Palestinian health officials.
The camp targeted Wednesday was sheltering families who had fled their homes earlier in the conflict. Witnesses reported that the strike struck a tent area, causing panic among residents. Casualty numbers are expected to rise as rescue workers continue searching the rubble.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the incident.
