Intoxicated Raccoon Captured After Liquor Store Break-In

An adventurous raccoon broke into a Virginia liquor store, raided its stock, and later passed out in the shop's bathroom. Staff discovered the animal unconscious after it had ransacked the business. Authorities safely captured the raccoon and transported it to the Hanover Animal Protection and Shelter. There, the animal was allowed to sober up under supervision. Once fully recovered, officials released the raccoon back into the wild. The incident caused property damage but ended without harm to the animal or the public.
