Syria has formed its first Local Education Group (LEG) to coordinate all education aid and planning within the country. The new body aims to align the programs of international organizations directly with Syria's national education priorities. The Ministry of Education launched the group on December 4. Minister Mohammed Abdulrahman Turko stated that providing fair and inclusive education for every Syrian child is a fixed national priority. The LEG will serve as the main platform for collaboration between the Syrian government, UN agencies, donors, and other partners. Its goal is to create a unified strategy, avoid duplicated efforts, and ensure aid supports the country's own education plans.
