Syrian and EU Officials Discuss Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met with a senior European Union counter-terrorism official in Damascus on Thursday. The minister received Mr. Bartjan Wegter, head of the EU Counter-Terrorism Unit delegation. Their talks focused on improving security cooperation between Syria and the European Union. Both sides explored ways to work together against terrorism. They also discussed addressing other shared security challenges.
