Ukraine is training specialists to find landmines using a new method: drones equipped with magnetometers. This technology changes how sappers work. Instead of walking through dangerous fields, operators now fly a drone that reads magnetic shifts in the soil. The device detects metal objects, including buried mines, from a safe distance. This approach reduces risk for demining teams and speeds up the clearance of contaminated land. Ukraine, one of the most mined countries in the world, is deploying these unique drone-mounted systems to protect lives and reclaim territory.
