Syria and South Korea have opened their first joint economic forum in Damascus. The event aims to explore cooperation in Syria's reconstruction and to develop new trade partnerships.
Syria’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy organized the forum with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade–Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). KOTRA is a government agency that supports Korean business interests abroad.
The forum opened on Thursday. It brings together officials and business representatives from both countries to discuss potential projects.
