A suspected drunk driver struck and killed two pedestrians in a violent, multi-car crash on Manhattan’s Upper West Side Friday, police said.
The incident occurred near Amsterdam Avenue, where the driver lost control and triggered a chain-reaction collision. In addition to the two fatalities, several other people were injured.
Authorities have not released the driver’s name. The suspect is in custody and faces charges, including vehicular manslaughter. An investigation is ongoing.
