A Kenyan lawmaker is pushing for tax reductions on fuel after prices jumped sharply in the latest monthly review. Super petrol rose by Sh16.65 per litre, and diesel surged by Sh46.29. In Nairobi, petrol now costs Sh214.25 per litre, and diesel is at Sh242.92. The high prices have prompted calls for the removal of VAT and other levies to ease the burden on consumers.
