Keir Starmer’s Popularity Disaster: Voters ‘Hate You,’ Adviser Warns
Leaders across Europe are facing a harsh reality: voters are angry, and they are taking it out on their heads of state. Recent local election results in the UK have highlighted a deep crisis for Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to a YouGov poll, only 11% of Britons believe he has been a good or great prime minister. Nearly 60% say he has been poor or terrible.
One adviser reportedly told Starmer, “People hate you.” A newspaper think-piece noted that “almost everyone agrees on one thing: they don’t like him.”
But Starmer is not alone. As the continent struggles with economic headwinds, leaders everywhere are bearing the brunt of delivering bad news to frustrated electorates. The problem is widespread, not unique to London or Paris.
