Hong Kong authorities have postponed plans to require younger taxi and commercial vehicle drivers to undergo mandatory medical checks. The government now aims to introduce legislative proposals in the second half of the year.
Under the original plan, the age threshold for mandatory health certificates would be lowered, and annual check-ups would be required for all affected drivers. A Transport Department spokesman said the government is carefully reviewing feedback from stakeholders to finalise details.
