Despite fears that high taxes are driving the rich out of the country, a new survey shows that most British millionaires want to pay more. According to the research, 88% of millionaires said they are proud to live in the UK. Three-quarters of them are willing to pay higher taxes to fund public services.
The findings challenge the common belief that wealthy people are leaving Britain due to tax increases. Instead, the survey reveals that millionaires are more worried about medical workers leaving the country than about rich people moving abroad. The report suggests this loyalty could reshape the debate over tax policy.
