Honduran television host Salvador Nasralla has widened his slim lead in the country's presidential election. His main rival is Nasry Asfura, who is backed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
With nearly 80% of ballots counted, Nasralla holds 40.34% of the vote. Asfura follows closely with 39.57%, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE). The count from Sunday's vote is now in its third day.
The election authority has faced criticism. Former President Trump criticized the CNE after it announced a partial result on Monday. The council has not yet declared an official winner.
