The Oklahoma City Thunder eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers from the NBA playoffs on Monday, winning 115-110 to complete a 4-0 sweep in the Western Conference semi-finals.
LeBron James, 41, scored 24 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in the loss. The defeat ended his 23rd NBA season and raised immediate questions about his next step.
“My future? I don’t know,” James said after the game, declining to commit to returning for another season.
The Lakers now face an offseason of uncertainty. In the East, the Cleveland Cavaliers evened their series with the Detroit Pistons at 2-2.
