The heads of Turkey's Anadolu Agency and Russia's TASS news agency met this week, pledging to enhance cooperation. The meeting occurred during a major gathering of regional news organizations in China.
Serdar Karagöz, CEO of Anadolu, and Andrey Kondrashov, Director General of TASS, held talks on the sidelines of the 57th Executive Board meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA). The high-level forum brings together news agency leaders from across the region.
In their discussion, both executives emphasized the need for their organizations to work together. They highlighted a shared goal of confronting common challenges faced by global media.
The meeting underscores ongoing professional ties between two major state-affiliated news agencies. Both Anadolu and TASS are prominent members of OANA, which focuses on improving journalistic collaboration and information exchange among its members.
