A major cultural festival in France will showcase Ukraine's artists, as the country fights to protect its culture from Russian attacks. The "Season of Ukraine – Journey to Ukraine: culture strikes back" festival will run from December 2025 to March 2026. It will feature 50 events across multiple French cities to amplify Ukrainian voices. Ukrainian author Andrei Kurkov told FRANCE 24 that Russia's war is also a brutal assault on Ukrainian culture. He argues that global awareness of Ukrainian arts remains low compared to Russian works. Kurkov sees the festival as a vital bridge.
