The family of Anicet Ekane, a Cameroonian opposition figure, has refused to allow a government autopsy on his body. They called the official procedure, which was scheduled for Tuesday, too rushed.
Ekane’s relatives stated their concern over the speed of the process. They did not agree to the examination as planned.
An autopsy is a medical examination to determine the cause of death. The government has not publicly commented on the family’s decision or its reasons for scheduling the procedure.
