A senior Russian official stated that talks between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’s envoy made no immediate progress toward ending the war in Ukraine.
Yuri Ushakov, Putin’s foreign policy adviser, said the two sides “haven’t found a compromise.” He added that some proposed American solutions could be discussed further.
The meeting occurred after Putin earlier threatened broader conflict with Europe. The Russian leader warned that Western support for Ukraine risks a direct military clash between Russia and NATO.
