Elderly Man with Dementia Found Dead After Nine-Day Hong Kong Search
The body of an 87-year-old Hong Kong man with dementia was discovered on Tuesday, nine days after he was reported missing. Volunteer search teams found Leung Woon-yew in a bushy area near the peak of Por Lo Shan. Leung, a resident of Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun, was located at 12:40 p.m. The Voluntary Mount Search Team and Countryside Volunteer Search Team made the discovery. The groups had joined the search after Leung was reported missing. Anson Cheng, founder of the Hong Kong Guardians volunteer rescue organization, confirmed the details.
