The United Nations has issued a renewed call for increased humanitarian access to Gaza, warning of severe winter hardships for civilians. It also reports new displacements in the occupied West Bank.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated the organization is pushing for more border crossings and supply routes to open. "We continue to call for the opening of all available border crossings and corridors," Dujarric said.
This appeal aims to get more food, medicine, and winter supplies into Gaza. The UN warns that existing aid is insufficient for the population's basic needs.
Simultaneously, the UN reports a rise in displacements within the West Bank. This follows increased military operations and settler violence in recent months.
The combined crises highlight a rapidly deteriorating situation across the Palestinian territories. The UN emphasizes that expanded access is critical to prevent further suffering.
