A seminar in Damascus has highlighted the critical responsibility journalists hold in countering hate speech and incitement on social media platforms.
The event, organized by the Syrian Academy for Training, gathered journalists and media officials on December 3. They discussed the media's role in promoting ethical discourse.
Akram al-Ahmad, Chairman of the Syrian Journalists' Code of Honor Committee, led the discussions. The talks focused on professional standards for reporting in the digital age.
The seminar concluded that media professionals are essential in fostering accurate and responsible communication to combat harmful online rhetoric.
