Two central districts of Warsaw have banned overnight alcohol sales. The new rule took effect on November 1.
The measure aligns these areas with nearly 180 other Polish municipalities that have similar nighttime prohibitions. Warsaw initially considered a city-wide ban, but the proposal sparked intense public debate.
The final policy applies only to the Śródmieście and Wola districts. Officials designed the ban to reduce nighttime disturbances and improve public safety.
