China Confirms Five Citizens Killed in Tajikistan Border Attacks

Chinese authorities confirmed on Monday that five of its citizens were killed in two separate attacks in Tajikistan. The incidents occurred near the country's border with Afghanistan.
In one assault, attackers used a drone to drop grenades on a group of Chinese workers. The other attack targeted a different location. Tajik officials have not yet identified the perpetrators.
China's foreign ministry stated it is working closely with Tajikistan to investigate the attacks. The ministry also called for stronger security measures for Chinese nationals and projects abroad.
The victims were reportedly construction workers involved in infrastructure projects. No group has claimed responsibility for the violence.
