Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell is launching a multi-billion dollar initiative to create investment accounts for American children. The plan will transfer $6.25 billion to fund accounts for an estimated 25 million young people.
Approximately 25 million children across the United States, all aged 10 and under, will receive a one-time deposit of $250. The funds will be placed into dedicated investment accounts established for each child.
The initiative aims to provide a financial foundation for the next generation. The structure and management details of the investment accounts were not immediately specified in the initial announcement.
Michael Dell is funding the program through his personal investment firm, MSD Partners. The scale of the commitment places it among the largest private philanthropic efforts focused on child wealth building.
