The foreign ministers of Germany and Egypt jointly called for the complete implementation of the Gaza ceasefire on Tuesday. They emphasized that upholding the truce is crucial for delivering humanitarian aid and working toward a lasting peace.
Their statement follows reports of escalating violations. Monitoring groups allege that Israeli actions have broken the ceasefire over 500 times since it began. These reported incidents include airstrikes and artillery fire.
According to health officials in Gaza, at least 356 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 10. The ministers did not assign public blame but stressed that all parties must fully respect the agreement to prevent further civilian casualties and regional instability.
The international diplomats warned that continued breaches risk a full collapse of the pause in fighting. They urged all sides to exercise maximum restraint to protect the agreement.
