This type of attack floods a website with fake traffic, making it impossible for legitimate users to connect. The restoration on December 2 followed intensive efforts by the site's technical team and cybersecurity partners. The platform, which aggregates and translates content from over 130 African news organizations, is a critical resource for global audiences. Its outage significantly disrupted the flow of information from the continent. AllAfrica's management confirmed the restoration but has not attributed the attack to any specific actor.
