Major Syria Recovery Conference Opens in Damascus with Broad NGO Participation

A major conference on Syria's humanitarian and recovery efforts began in Damascus on Monday. The event has drawn representatives from more than 170 local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Titled “Humanitarian Action and Recovery for Syria – Local Solutions for Sustainable Impact,” the three-day forum aims to shape future policy. Participants will focus on sustainable recovery methods and the role of civil society.
The conference seeks to develop strategies led by local communities. Organizers hope these approaches will create longer-lasting impact across Syria.
