Airbus Completes Modifications on Most Recalled A320 Jets

Airbus has now modified the vast majority of A320-family aircraft it recalled last week. The European planemaker issued the recall due to potential errors in a specific flight-control function. The safety directive affected approximately 6,000 aircraft globally. Airbus stated that most have already received the necessary technical updates. The recall addressed a possible fault in the aircraft's "pitch trim" system. This system helps control the airplane's nose-up and nose-down angle during flight. Airbus did not specify how many jets remain unmodified. The company initiated the recall as a precautionary measure, working with airline operators to apply the fix.
