A Syrian delegation attended a major seminar in Bucharest this week focusing on the security threats posed by environmental crimes. The event highlights growing international concern over illegal activities that damage ecosystems.
The seminar, titled “Impacts of Emerging Environmental Crimes on Security,” was organized by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and Romania’s Republican Guard. It gathered experts from Arab nations and other countries.
The delegation represented Syria’s Ministry of Interior. The discussions centered on how crimes like illegal waste trafficking and wildlife trade threaten national and regional stability.
