Major Logistics Firms Amazon and Prologis Choose Okayama for New Hub

Two global logistics giants, Amazon and Prologis, have selected Okayama City as the location for a major new distribution center. This move establishes the area as a key logistics hub for western Japan. The new facility will strengthen and speed up delivery networks across the region. Prologis, a world leader in logistics real estate, will develop and own the property. E-commerce titan Amazon will be the primary tenant, operating the distribution hub. Okayama's central location on the Sanyo Shinkansen line and major highways was a decisive factor. This strategic position offers efficient access to major markets like Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka.
