Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch says the upcoming moon mission is about more than space.
In an interview with CBS, Koch said the crew will bring crucial knowledge back to Earth. This includes lessons about deep space and human nature.
"We are carrying back everything we learned," Koch told anchor Tony Dokoupil. "Not only about where we went, but ourselves."
The Artemis II mission will send four astronauts around the moon. It is the first crewed flight in NASA's program to return humans to the lunar surface.
The mission is scheduled for no earlier than September 2025.
