Members of Parliament in Tanzania are calling for immediate tax cuts on imported fuel.
They argue this action is needed to control rapidly rising prices at the pump. The MPs say the ongoing crisis in the Middle East has made the problem worse.
The appeal was made directly to the government in the capital, Dodoma. No official response has been given yet.
