Eight people were killed when a U.S. strike destroyed Iran's largest bridge, according to reports. The attack split the newly built structure in half.
President Donald Trump claimed responsibility for the strike. He shared footage showing the 136-meter-high bridge collapsing.
The attack happened one day after Trump threatened to bomb Iran "back to the stone ages." He said this would happen if a deal to end the current five-week war was not reached. Trump started the war.
The targeted bridge, called the B1 suspension bridge, connects Tehran and Karaj. It cost $400 million to build.
In his statement, Trump warned Tehran that "more" strikes would follow.
