Turkey has strongly condemned a new Israeli law allowing the death penalty for Palestinians convicted of deadly attacks.
In a statement, Turkey's Foreign Ministry called the legislation "unlawful, null and void." It described the law as a "racist" step by Israel.
The ministry urged the international community and the United Nations to respond. It said the world must act against Israel's "racist and unlawful steps."
The law applies to Palestinians convicted of terrorism in Israeli courts. Critics argue it deepens discrimination under Israel's legal system.
