President Donald Trump says a "regime change" has been accomplished in Iran and predicts a deal to end the conflict will happen "soon." He did not rule out future ground operations by U.S. forces.
The statement came as Israel announced new strikes on military targets inside Iran's capital, Tehran, on Monday. This follows a weekend attack on Iran's electrical facilities, which caused power outages in Tehran and nearby regions.
In response, Iran launched fresh missile strikes against Israel, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
The ongoing war has created severe global economic disruption. Much of Asia is experiencing fuel shortages, and world stock markets are in turmoil.
