Kelly Zong Fuli has resigned from her leadership roles at China's Wahaha Group. She stepped down as the company's legal representative, chairwoman, and general manager.
Corporate filings show Xu Simin has succeeded her. Xu was previously the head of the legal department at a company associated with Wahaha. Zong retains her 29 per cent ownership stake in the beverage giant.
The 43-year-old Zong took control of the company, often called China's Coca-Cola, following the death of her father, founder Zong Qinghou. Her departure comes one year after she assumed leadership of the soft drink empire.
