New Crew, Including NASA Astronaut, Arrives at Space Station

A NASA astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts have successfully launched to the International Space Station (ISS). Their Soyuz spacecraft lifted off from Kazakhstan and docked with the orbiting laboratory without issue. The new crew includes American astronaut Dr. Chris Williams. Dr. Williams is an astronomy Ph.D. and a board-certified medical physicist. He works at Harvard Medical School. The trio will join the current station residents for a planned six-month mission. They will conduct scientific research and help maintain the station's operations. This mission continues the long-standing partnership between space agencies.
