Russia's Covert War on the West Intensifies

Western intelligence agencies and governments are raising alarms over a sustained campaign of covert aggression by Russia, aimed at destabilizing Europe and undermining support for Ukraine. This multi-front effort blends espionage, sabotage, disinformation, and direct threats, operating below the threshold of open warfare.

European officials publicly accuse Russia of conducting a widespread covert campaign of sabotage and subversion across the continent [17763]. These alleged operations include plots to damage military aid routes to Ukraine, arson attacks, and cyber intrusions designed to weaken European infrastructure and unity [17763].
