Meningitis Outbreak Kills Several in Nigerian Village

Health officials in Nigeria’s Sokoto State have confirmed a suspected meningitis outbreak that has killed several people in a local village. State Commissioner for Health, Faruk Wurno, said the government has deployed health teams to investigate the situation and is providing free medications to affected residents.
